Ooo! My hero ♥
We were exactly two minutes late to work today, even though we left the house very, very early, because we went to the Post Office to check our P.O. Box out in farm country and... had to stop for a wild turkey and her poults crossing the road. They weren't in any hurry to get across, so Bao really let them have it with the horn. HONK HONK HONKHONK HOOOOONK HOOOOONK! Scared the poor things into turkey-hopping to the other side as fast as their little turkey wings would take them.
I felt bad about it for about a minute more of road, and then another car whizzed past us on the other side. Must have been going over 100 MPH. Definitely wouldn't have been able to stop for turkey poults.
So, uh, yay for Bao and his scary HONKHONK. It saved adorable wild turkey poults!
(Also, until someone remembered that the children of turkeys are called poults, he started getting everyone to call them "turkeylings". *grin*)
